מה קורה כאשר אנשים אינם רק חיים במרחב, אלא שותפים ביצירתו?
בשנת 2015 ייסדה אלכסנדרה אוקסנויד את The CityMakers
אחד הניסיונות המוקדמים ליצור מודל ופלטפורמה להשתתפות אזרחית,
שנועדו להפוך את העיר למרחב שנוצר יחד עם תושביו.
באמצעות פיילוט בחולון, בשיתוף קהילת רסקו–אגרובנק ועיריית חולון, חיברה הפלטפורמה בין תושבים, מוסדות מקומיים והרשות העירונית סביב יוזמות משותפות, התנדבות וחיי היום-יום בעיר.
כאן קיבלו לראשונה העקרונות האלה צורה במרחב הציבורי, כדרך חדשה להשתתף, ליצור ולעצב את החיים המשותפים.
